Life is a journey. In this week's double Torah portion which concludes the Book of Bamidbar and takes place in the 40th year of the Jewish people's "wandering" in the desert, we're going to hear an accounting from Moshe of the 42 different encampments that the Jewish people had during that time. Interestingly, this is one of my "favorite" sections of the Torah even though to some it might sound like a very tedious list of different places.
As we approach shabbos and the reading of Parshas Korah, I often wonder why this story is told. It seems like this is another story of rebellion and/or another story of complaint. It feels like this story is a bit repetitive. However, the story of Korach teaches us not just about the consequences of action, but about our patient, loving father - Hashem.

Over Shavuot we read Megillas Ruth. Ruth is the daughter-in-law of Naami, who was married to Elimelech. Elimelech and Naami moved from Eretz Yisroel to Moab during the famine
To my star pupil, I am writing this letter to let you know what I think of you. Up here in heaven things are not like they are down on Earth. Over there, people only know what they can see. If they see a person is "successful", they think that he is the greatest guy. When they see somebody struggling, they think he might be one of the weaker elements.
Hello from Florida! I'm sitting in our studio room at the Residence Inn in Parkland, Florida, an extended stay hotel where we've been for the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately, the small condo that we bought with some of the proceeds from our Denver home
Dear Ladies Before I begin, I first want to share my deep condolences to our incredible leader at The Jewish Experience, Rabbi Leban and his very special mother Mrs. Cheryl…
As we conclude the beautiful Passover holiday it is important to remember that the culmination of the exodus was not just freedom, but most importantly the gift of the Torah.…
