Here are a few thoughts about us from participants and dear friends. If you’d like to add some thoughts of your own, please do so here.
“TJE is a warm and welcoming environment where people are valued, embraced and brought in to the TJE family. There is not a time that I don’t leave a TJE event smiling, energized and feeling more knowledgeable and connected to my Judaism. For our entire family, TJE is about learning, community and bringing Judaism into our lives in a way that is meaningful. It’s about connecting with people who enrich our lives by celebrating the joy of learning, the love of Judaism and a vibrant Jewish community.”
Debbie
“The Purim party, like all TJE events we’ve attended, was festive, educational, and enjoyed by all! The setting at the Shabbos House is particularly nice because it feels like we’re together as a family or community rather than just attending an event. Thank you for all the time and effort involved in creating these learning experiences.”
Laura
“The Jewish Experience Spring Weekend Retreat was the first time I found Jewish learning interesting, very relevant and worth pursuing.”
David
”Everybody enjoyed themselves immensely at the Shabbos Dinner Club. Thank you for fitting us in.”

“I began taking classes through The Jewish Experience almost three years ago. It was my first formal introduction into Judaism, since I was raised in a secular home. This is a unique opportunity to learn directly from the great teachers of TJE that reading on your own could never substitute. I consider myself extremely lucky to have found this great source of learning, not just because of the level of knowledge the teachers bring, but also because their generosity, enthusiasm, warmth, and humor are so uplifting.”

“The Jewish University has increased my understanding of the Torah and Jewish values —refreshing many memories from childhood, examined again through adult eyes.”

“I enjoyed re-learning Hebrew so much that I had to make time for the next class. I’m glad I did! When I came home last night, I told my husband that I learned more about the Hebrew language in Naomi Lev’s class last night than in my previous 40 years and two trips to Israel.”
Amy
“I love your class. It’s great the way you explain the parashot so that we can make connections and see the deeper meaning. I love it!”
Jan
“We loved learning about the significance of the holidays as a whole, the organization of the service, and specific prayers and their meaning. My husband shared that he learned more in the learner’s service than he has learned in any High Holiday service he has ever attended. He always feels lost in services because he does not understand Hebrew or prayer and this enabled him to understand and feel connected to the service. Thank you!”
Laura
“We’d like to thank you for all you teach us. We’ve learned a tremendous amount from you and appreciate your insights into Torah and the approach you take to Judaic history. You make it all so meaningful.”

“Thank you very much for taking the boys to the weekend in LA. Our son had a great time, and he talked about all the fun things the group did while you were there. You clearly did a great job of getting the boys to attend what they needed to and letting them have some space, too. We greatly appreciate all you do, and we cannot thank you enough for putting together this great trip at very little expense to us. We know that our son will continue to enjoy the group and all the activities you arrange to keep them connected to their Judaism!”

“Thanks so much for sharing the video with me. It was positively enchanting. Thank you for making the Jewish community that much more welcoming and inclusive.”
Julia
“My son loves spending time with Rabbi Zussman. Not only is Rabbi Zussman “young at heart” and can really relate to today’s teenagers, but he also has the ability to teach and discuss Jewish values, history and ideas with him.”
